The Vernon Military History Society is dedicated to the preservation of Military and Cadet History in the Vernon Area.
Who Are We?
The VMHS mission is to preserve, exhibit and interpret, artifacts, icons and memorabilia in order to promote and commemorate the Military and Cadet heritage in the Vernon Area. The Society will also foster a deeper understanding of the Military and Cadet experience, within the broader context of Canadian history, among veterans, former cadets, communities in the Vernon area and all Canadians
The VMHS Museum will provide a sustainable, fun, consistent, educational and stimulating experience to all who visit. The VMHS Museum will accomplish this by developing and maintaining a physical representative collection of artifacts and archival material that is significant to the Military and the Cadet Program and, in many instances, to the broadest possible range of audiences through electronic and other forms of media

What do we do?
The Vernon Military History Society runs and operates the Vernon Cadet Camp Museum. We provide assistant to the Greater Vernon Museum and Archives as well as to the Regional District of the North Okanagan on the preservation of the cadet and military history in the valley.
