Brad Malchuk attended Vernon Army Cadet Camp in 1978 through 1983. He is a Vancouver BC based businessman and is President and owner of Fastik, which is a manufacturer of packaging products primarily for food applications such as packaging films, produce bags, labels, etc and is a developer of sustainable packaging options. (www.fastik.com) . Fastik has approximately 70 employees in Langley BC and has recently expanded to Phoenix Arizona with a new manufacturing facility. In 2018 he was publicly recognized by the Federal Government for a business milestone of exceeding 10 million in annual sales as well as his personal and corporate philanthropy. Brad received the Canadian Forces Special Service Medal with UN Bar for his time served in Germany during the Cold War, which was a part of his four-year service with both 3 and 2 PPCLI. Brad continues his studies at Trinity Western University for a Bachelors degree with a major in leadership. Brad has two daughters aged 16 and 23. “I personally benefited significantly from all the leadership development opportunities provided by the Cadet movement, and in particular, at Vernon Cadet Camp. I am pleased to be involved in keeping the memories and stories of this important institution alive.” Brad joined the Vernon Military History Society board of directors in October of 2019.
