2381 RCEME Cadet Corps formed 6 March 1950, and was affiliated with RCEME 5th Division. In 1955 affiliation changed to 8th Tech Regt RCEME who also assumed the sponsorship in 1956. Disbandment occured 1 Oct 60.
On 6 Mar 62 the Corps reformed, sponsored by 8th Tech Regt RCEME. In 1965 designation changed to 'A' Sqn 8th Technical Regiment RCEME Cadet Corps. Message Cdts 1077 dated 21 Dec 71 changed sponsor and affiliation to Vancouver Militia Service Battalion. Effective 21 Dec 71 designation changed to Vancouver Militia Service Battalion Cadet Corps. On 15 Apr 76 (DCdts 336) sponsor changed to Thunderbird Security Systems. Effective 1 Feb 79 designation changed to Irish Fusiliers of Canada Cadet Corps. Effective 7 Feb 79 change of affiliation to Irish Fusiliers of Canada Association, who also assumed sponsorship. Effective 1 Jan 81 co-sponsorship was assumed Branch 44, Royal Canadian Legion.
