Staff cadets arrive the last week of June and soon are prepared for the arrival of all the course cadets. Capt Tony Liem and Capt Marie Anderson are awarded their Canadian Forces Decoration at the annual mess diner, Capt Archie Pow retires after several years at the training centre.
The newly constructed abseil tower on the upper camp now replaces the rock abseil site used since the mid-1980s. Myra Canyon is reopened after the destruction of 12 wooden trestles during the 2003 fires, once again the expedition course is able to use its amazing trail system for training. Cdt Aimee Debert returns from the Canadian National Smallbore Championships in Beachburg, Ontario with a Bronze, 3 Silvers, and 3 Gold medals. Advanced rock climbing continues at Skaha Bluffs. For the third year, Guard Coy has chosen for their community service, a poppy service at the Pleasant Valley cemetery. As part of their community service, cadets from C Coy cleaned up Vernon Creek in Winfield.
Maj Bob McKellar CD (ret'd) is a reviewing officer for the first two week grad parade, Maj McKellar was a WW2 vet and served at the camp from 1952-61.
