Cadet Courses held this summer included three intakes of 2-week Basic army cadet, the 6-week Cadet Leader course, the 6-week Cadet Rifle Instructor course, the 6-week Cadet Leader Instructor course, two intakes of 3-week basic band course, and the 6-week band course, training 1,352 course cadets. Morning PT was conducted from 0610-0640 hours daily. Standard first aid was taught to the senior courses, emergency first aid to the junior courses. The Thompson Plateau, Becker Lake, and Coldstream Ranch were all used for adventure training.

Kin Beach and Paddlewheel park were once again used for the swim parades. Band Company once again entertained the residents of Noric House with a concert. The band also performed at the Sicamous parade, the Okanagan Falls parade and at Polson Park for a concert. The camp newspaper "The Sapling" was published again during the summer. Celebrating the centennial of the city of Vernon, the camp exercised its Freedom of the City with a parade through downtown. Significant vistors included: LGen J. Vance, CMM, CD, LCol T. Payette, MMM, CD, Col D. Kinloch, CD, Col D. Waiton, CMM, CO, MGen Mariage, CD, BGen Kiby, CD, BGen D. Yuili, CD, and BGen C. Walker, CD. Deputy Commander LFWA was the reviewing officer for the final graduation parade.

Sword of Honour winner: (tie) Cadet/MWO K. Christensen, 1390 78th Field RCA RCACC & C/MWO Mason Stalker, 2358 RN Rang RCACC.
