This was the last summer that cadets would have to cross the highway using Ortona Street, as the underpass tunnel was being constructed just north of the intersection. The tunnel was planned as far back as the mid 1970s due to concerns of ever increasing traffic. The Thompson plateau training area was used extensively for adventure training. The air cadet basic course moved back to Penhold cadet camp in Alberta.

Mayor Wayne Magrath; LCol Nichita; LCol D.B. Kinloch all visited the camp and reviewed various parades. LGen J. Vance, CMM, CD, was the reviewing officer for the final graduation parade.

Sword of Honour winner: Cadet/MWO Mario Sandoval, 2200 BCR RCACC.

Commanding officer: LCol M. Neil, CD
LCol R.E. Clark, MMM, CD
LCol Mike M. Neil, CD
