One hundred and thirty-three staff cadets attended the staff cadet course, which ran for 6 1/2 days prior to the arrival of cadets at the camp. Nine cadet courses were run over the summer: Basic Cadet Army, Basic Cadet Air, Army Cadet Leader, Army Cadet Leader Instructor, and Band courses. The installation of new bunk beds began at the camp, replacing the existing metal bunk beds dating to 1942. The Goose Range training area was used extensively.

The quantity of food consumed in 1 day included: 300 dozen cookies, 250 dozen eggs, 400 loaves of bread, 200 gallons of milk, 150 lbs of bacon, ham & sausages, 1000 lbs of French fries, 500 lbs of peeled potatoes, and 250 lbs of flour. As well, 1000 lbs of watermelon were consumed in 3 days, and 1200 lbs of local cherries in 4 days. In 6 weeks the camp went through 50,000 boxes of fruit drink and 10,000 box lunches. over the entire six weeks, 180,000 meals were served.

Saturday morning swim parades were held at kin Beach. Band coy paraded at Polson Park, Noric House, Sicamous, Okanagan Falls, and the Princeton Air Cadet Camp graduation ceremonies. The camp newspaper "The Sapling" was expanded and issued weekly. LGen J.E. Vance visited the camp as well as BGen Beno, and BGen Banks. Grad parade was held on August 16th, marking the final parade and retirement of Major Con Furey, OC of Band Company since 1982.
