The confidence course continued to improve, as the rock climbing course was terminated. An 85-foot rappel and a 250-foot Tyrolean transfer were the climax of the two day exercise. Whitewater canoe training continued on the Shuswap River where it had been for years.

Band Coy performed for the residents of the Noric House, as well as for the Kelowna Regatta, the Penticton Peach Festival, and the Princeton graduation parade. Eight British Air cadets briefly toured the cadet camp and Okanagan Valley while visiting Canada. Cadet Robert Millar was among 30 band cadets selected from across the country to play at the Royal Military Tattoo in Edinburgh Scotland. LGen J. Vance, Vice Chief of Defense DND, attended the grad parade as reviewing officer, August 18th.

Sword of Honour winner: cadet Michelle L. Fleck, 2554 PPCLI RCACC.
