800 cadets began arriving July 9 from the 4 western provinces, north western Ontario, Quebec and Washington State. Four courses taught over the summer: CLI, CL, JL, and band. Some aquatic training moved to Camp Kopje near Okanagan Centre. Whitewater training phased out due to financial restrictions. Rambler ex continues.

There was an unusual occurrence at the chapel, Lt Rex Landis and his wife Teresa had the daughter Audry Anita Michelle baptized at the chapel. Cadet Sgt Maj Kelly Martin stood in for the Godparents. Col Reginald MacNeil performed the service.

The camp exercised their freedom of the city on Aug 5.

Cadets attended the Kelowna regatta and the Penticton Peach Festival. LCol C.V. Lilley visited the camp as a reviewing officer during a weekly ceremonial parade. Swim meet at Kalamalka Beach Aug 14, sports meet at Polson Park Aug 15. Grad parade on Aug 16. Lt Gov R. Rogers of BC toured the camp Aug 1 & 2.
