The inter-provincial Exchange of cadets saw Air-Canada Flying over 4,000 miles bringing the French company to Vernon and transporting B Coy to Valcartier, Quebec. The exchange took place between July 19 and Aug 2. The camp's future was in doubt for several months, as it was decided that the camp would be closed permanently in January 1971. Fortunately this was not to be.

Driver Comm course using 10 Chrysler cars. The range at Glenemma continued being used. The on day Exercise Tiro introduced various tasks - vehicle loading, first aid, basic rescue, all coordinated at the section level. Cadets were able to tour Kelowna and the Tillicum Valley. Cadets consumed 335 tons of food over the summer.

Band Coy paraded in the Salmon Arm Cherry festival, Kelowna Regatta, and the Peach Festival in Penticton. Talent show held on Aug 11, 23 - skits and songs featured by all companies. LCol Lilley provided the $100 prize money for the top 5 skits. C Coy won the best skit with "Dreams". The hobby shop was established at the cadet canteen. Annual swim meet held at Kal Lake, Guard Coy took top honours, C Coy 2nd. Lt Gov John R. Nicholson visits the camp. Grad parade held at Dieppe Square.

The news media make much "ado" over several boys but are inclined to dismiss lightly the thousands of boys like yourself who are doing so much for the good of the country." Colonel G.A.
