Driver Comm (Communication) course implemented on a 2nd year trail basis, again using civilian and military vehicles, as well as training on radios. Exercise Tiro began.
French Exchange continued, 140 cadets from Quebec spent two weeks in Vernon, touring Vancouver, Mica Dam, and participating in Penticton Peach Festival. Cadets from B Coy spent two weeks in Quebec visiting the Citadel in Quebec City, and "Man and His World" in Montreal.
Band Coy paraded at the Salmon Arm Cherry Festival, Kelowna Regatta, Penticton Peach Festival. Guard Coy topped sports meet, D Coy in 2nd place. Guard Coy participated in the Penticton Peach Festival and Kelowna Regatta parades. The cadet battalion marched through the city on its way to Drumhead service in Polson Park.
Cadets consumed 260 tons of food over the summer.
