LCol Vince Lilley returns to Vernon after a six year absence. Summer camp quota increased to include junior cadets from Alberta, on the close out of camp at Clear Lake Manitoba. Cadets begin flying to camp, arriving via Pacific Western Airlines DC6s at Kelowna, and Air Canada DC9s at Penticton Airport.
Drivers course now using 3 Plymouth Furys and one Doge Coronet. The old D&M course now phased out. Three 2-week junior cadet courses reintroduced to camp. Junior courses were formerly held at Clear Lake MB.
A Coy designated Junior Leadership Company. Adventure training continues at Sugar and Mabel Lakes. Unarmed combat (Judo) taught as part of physical training.
Hockey greats Eddie Shack and Johnny Mackenzie visited the camp. Band Coy again toured the Peach festival in Penticton, and the Kelowna Regatta.
